| The Rich Man and Lazarus |

Last night I brought Lazarus to your gate As others were welcomed in he had to wait Longing for the crumbs that fall to the floor With each new rejection comes another sore
Starving for understanding in his hungry soul He is ravished by problems beyond his control Warm laughter he hears coming from inside The disappointment he feels he cannot hide Isolated and cold a little one cried No one noticed when the guiltless died This morning Lazarus awoke in Father's embrace Once again restored by GOD's amazing grace While the rich man lavishly prepares another goat Unaware of his beam he's offended by Lazarus' mote .....peace.....
