Titus 1:7-9

This says, "For a bishop, as God's steward," but shouldn't it apply to all of us? We are, afterall, God's stewards. We are His stewards with the Gospel. Isn't it our job to be "blamless and upright"? Afterall, if we are not then how will those seeking the truth know who we are? We are to stand apart from the world. To be "holy and self-controlled" simply because we are citizens of the Kingdom; co-heirs with Christ. If we do not live in this manner then we will be very poor witnesses. This is a difficult verse to live up to, but if we pray daily for the Lord's guidance then we will be more effective in our mission fields, be them work, our neighborhoods, families, or wherever they may be. We must do our best to live as this verse demands.



1:7 For a bishop, as God's steward, must be blameless; he must not be arrogant or quick-tempered or a drunkard or violent or greedy for gain, 1:8 but hospitable, a lover of goodness, master of himself, upright, holy, and self-controlled; 1:9 he must hold firm to the sure word as taught, so that he may be able to give instruction in sound doctrine and also to confute those who contradict it.

Yes, because as Paul also wrote to the Philippians 2:14-18: 

Do all things without grumbling or disputing; so that you will prove yourselves to be blameless and innocent, children of God above reproach in the midst of a crooked and perverse generation, among whom you appear as lights in the world, holding fast the word of life, so that in the day of Christ I will have reason to glory because I did not run in vain nor toil in vain. But even if I am being poured out as a drink offering upon the sacrifice and service of your faith, I rejoice and share my joy with you all.  You too, I urge you, rejoice in the same way and share your joy with me.

Witnessing is tough, but can be done with daily prayer as you stated!
