| Wilderness Times |
|

For alot of us, these times are wilderness times. We feel we're out there struggling along, and who knows what tomorrow may bring. For many it's job loss, for many that's already happened and we're worried about our homes, our family, what will put the next meal on the table. We read/listen to the news and it's depressing. We worry about our extended families, how will they make it? We feel we're wandering through the wilderness and we don't see alot of hope for our future. Times like these have brought people to their knees, families broken from the stress, tempers flare, we worry about how to get the next dollar to keep a roof over our heads, our children fed and clothed. We blame the government, we blame the company, we blame everyone. Why? Because we don't like to think that God would do it? Yes, I'm taking this from another perspective! One that I fully believe in, one that is biblical......God has the control! Let me give you a look into His Control..... 8:15 who led you through the great and terrible wilderness, with its fiery serpents and scorpions and thirsty ground where there was no water, who brought you water out of the flinty rock, 8:16 who fed you in the wilderness with manna which your fathers did not know, that he might humble you and test you, to do you good in the end. Why did they go through the wilderness? Not because satan was messing with them......because God was humbling and testing them to do them good in the end! God could have changed them in a minute.......but He didn't......He chose to humble them and test them, for their own good! This this our testing, folks? Is this our humbling? To end this, I pray I've given different perspective to what's going on in our world today. In everything that happens to me, for many years I've lived by this question: Lord, what do you want me to learn from this? So, what does God expect from us, even through the testing? 10:13 and to keep the commandments and statutes of the LORD, which I command you this day for your good? |

God led them thru the wilderness. The route was his choice! The destination his gift! And best of all, he never left them!
1:9 Have I not commanded you? Be strong and of good courage; be not frightened, neither be dismayed; for the LORD your God is with you wherever you go."

for the LORD your God is with you wherever you go." ---- He will NEVER leave of forsake you.
Our duty is to have FAITH AS SMALL AS A MUSTARD SEED. Yes, it is a time of testing but I believe if we stay the course and have that Faith and Know that He is there we will come out on the other side.... |

This too shall pass - That's what I keep telling myself.
I was in basic training in the army and I know I needed the discipline. One of the best things I have done in my life. I kept telling myself "This too shall pass" and it did for the better. I hear you Cindy, I know the feeling and you know I do. We cannot give up because we truly know what is at the end.
Love you Sis |

| Hi Cinder's. Great message. The amplified version of leading them through the wilderness - was to test and to prove them. These are testing times, and God is testing and proving all the way along, whether we really want something or not. |

| Hi Cinder's. One thing for sure. Without a test - we wouldn't have a testimony, just the moanies. And God knows I moan throughout my test, and that's my test-eeeeee-(don't know how I'm going to make it)-mony for the day. LOL!!! By the way. Morning Cinder's and Ken, I've just gotten up. So are we all ready for a test today? cos we may have to go through the wilderness to get it. |

God has never brought us through a wilderness of financial problems and he must not think we need it..yet.I've always tried to hold material things loosely.I grew up poor but surrounded with love and stability.Since becoming a Christian I have been plagued with numerous health problems, all causing pain and discomfort more then real life threatening issues. What I have found over and over is; the times of suffering are the times I grow the most. I remember thinking that if anything happened to my husband's health, I would never be able to run the labour-intensive,non-automated greenhouse and farm business without him.It happened and I managed. The result was a much greater faith in God's sustaining power. |

| I believe God wants us to turn to Him when we're troubled. To talk with Him about the things that are out of our control, and to ask Him to help us. Because... that's what He's wanting to do. To listen, and to to whisper to us. We just have to "clean out our ears" so that we can hear Him. |

| Pat: Since my husband has become a christian, he's become diabetic and was diagnosed with MS and had to take medical retirement.....God definitely tests us......but it's good, we become more and more dependent on him! |
