| When we are waiting for answers, remember this. |
|
| |
16:12 I have yet many things to say unto you, but ye cannot bear them now. 16:13 Howbeit when he, the Spirit of truth, is come, he shall guide you into all the truth: for he shall not speak from himself; but what things soever he shall hear, `these' shall he speak: and he shall declare unto you the things that are to come. When Jesus said this, He was speaking to RUGGED FISHERMEN! He was gentle with them as he said in verse 12, they couldn't bear it then. He knew they could when the Holy Spirit came. He left some things unrevealed until the right time. These men were not weak. They had already dropped their former lives to follow Him. They knew how to sleep on the ground and how to endure weather less than hospitable to living outdoors. They knew how to eat what was available. They knew scorn and threat. They had a huge task ahead of them in the ministry of witnessing to the nations. We do too. He promised at appropriate times, the Holy Spirit would reveal what we need to know. If you are dealing with "the wait" remember, Jesus was gentle to even these twelve that knew Him day to day. It was a kindness for them to not know everything before they were supposed to. We must trust in the "waiting". |

| Excellent verse. Something else to note about this scripture: We must also be prayerful when training up others to not try to imitate the Holy Spirit and do the job set for Him. We must only teach what the Lord leads us to teach, not taking it upon ourselves. Those who are in a teaching position must stay in constant prayer, as we all should. And those who are being taught, please lift up your teacher daily for wisdom, understanding and grace. Love in Christ. |

My husband is new to this too. He's been saved for almost 9 years but still lacks in reading the Word. As a teacher, I will make sure I only teach what the Holy Spirit says teach. Thanks everyone. |

| After getting up and turning on the tv Beth Moore was on and said turn to this chapterPsalm 112 (King James Version)
Psalm 112
1Praise ye the LORD. Blessed is the man that feareth the LORD, that delighteth greatly in his commandments.
2His seed shall be mighty upon earth: the generation of the upright shall be blessed.
3Wealth and riches shall be in his house: and his righteousness endureth for ever.
4Unto the upright there ariseth light in the darkness: he is gracious, and full of compassion, and righteous.
5A good man sheweth favour, and lendeth: he will guide his affairs with discretion.
6Surely he shall not be moved for ever: the righteous shall be in everlasting remembrance.
7He shall not be afraid of evil tidings: his heart is fixed, trusting in the LORD.
8His heart is established, he shall not be afraid, until he see his desire upon his enemies.
9He hath dispersed, he hath given to the poor; his righteousness endureth for ever; his horn shall be exalted with honour.
10The wicked shall see it, and be grieved; he shall gnash with his teeth, and melt away: the desire of the wicked shall perish.
