| UPDATE: Women's retreat this weekend, prayer request |

Update: 03-05-09::The Pastor and his wife went looking Tuesday and found a place. It wasn't oceanfront but I am fine with that. I want to spend time with the One Who made the ocean. It will certainly be memorable for me. I am long overdue to spend days with my church sisters. Wouldn't it be way cool to have such a thing here, having you all pile into one place together so we could hang out in person? Well, I won't put that thought aside. Perhaps we will do a virtual sisters retreat one night, stay up all night in our pjs and giggle and sing conference calls all night and share testimonies etc. I have never been on one. 33 years of serving the Lord and always been working or not enough funds to go or whatever else obligating me to be home. I am scheduled to leave Friday morning and come home Sunday afternoon. The house that the church secured fell through. They were going yesterday to look for another replacement one and I should have asked before today. I may be going tonight to church and it is already answered but there is much to pray about anyway. I started to get sniffles from being with my sniffly grands last week for one thing. Don't need it. I am praying that the 25 women signed up will have all worked out and when they return home will have favor with their families that they won't be overburdened with work left for them. I am praying that those assigned roommates in the house will have been assigned by God to be the ones that are perfect so that we may minister to one another. The weather is supposed to improve so that is way cool. Praying it stays beautiful so we can walk a bit on the beach. I am going with the church secretary, Betty, and the assistant pastor's wife, Jan, early Friday to prepare dinner for those who are coming that evening after work. I am not the kitcheny type so praying for good things all around in the kitchen. I can clean up anyway! Praying for strength in many ways as I have been resting big time and we have some sedentary activities lined up and some trotting to thrift stores etc to do. I am ok just to pray and share and look at the ocean actually. I am taking my laptop and will touch bases with you all but just wanted to ask prayer overall for this. I appreciate it. I know there are bigger needs but the seeds sown there will ripple out to 25 families. amen |

| I have seen God do amazing things at Women's Retreats. I thank the Lord right now for provision for a place for this retreat to take place and I thank Him for each woman that will be there. I thank Him for all the families that will be represented and that all of their needs will be met while the ladies are away. I thank Him for sending His angels to go before these ladies and prepare the way and surround them with protection and minister to them in a mighty way. Order all of their steps including those they will be sharing rooms with. Let all of this weekend be used for your glory and honor. Let your healing power descend upon them and let them walk away from this weekend knowing that their lifes have been touched and will never be the same! Thank you Lord. Amen. |

| WE ARE HAVING OUR LADIES RETREAT THE LAST SATURDAY OF THIS MONTH. ALTHOUGH I AM NO LONGER A MEMBER OF THAT CHURCH, I AM STILL AM GOING. THIS ONE IS ONLY FOR ONE DAY SO WE START EARLY AND END LATE. MANY LADIES COME THAT DOESN'T NECESSARY GO TO CHURCH SO THEY SEE THE LOVE OF CHRIST IN A DIFFERENT SETTING. WE HAVE TALKS EAT, PRAY EAT, PRAY EAT EAT, EAT............ AND WE DO CRAFTS. THIS YEAR OUR THEME IS 'LOVE BEARS ALL THINGS' SO WE WILL BE MAKING TEDDY BEARS. WE GIVE OUT GIFT BAGS AT THE END WITH BEAR THEMES AND WE ALL HAVE A GREAT TIME. YOU WILL BE BLESSED. |

| I went on our UMW retreat for two years. Those women are wonderful and I love them. We made these bracelets out of glass beads like kids do? Mine was all eyeballs. We praised God all weekend. |

Of course Joey, yours WOULD be eyeballs. I love you for that. Yes, Mike, the ripple effect to generations if the Lord tarries, if He doesn't may the time that follows be blessed. I am excited Lynne. It is like I get to go to camp as a grown up for the first time. I hope we get to make glass bead bracelets. I was told to bring a shoebox so doubt it. :) |

No Lie Cella, they would like it! I may take the ingredients and do it there. I am afraid unless you talk Nascar or fishing Jim isn't that chatty. You may carry it but not sure. I can talk with the best of them and it is hard to keep him engaged in a conversation. He is more a guy's guy in talk. |

Lord God Almighty, PLEASE give HG the strength in her body to endure this retreat, so that she may find you and be a blessing among the women with her. That they may grow in love and fellowship with you and with each other. So that when she walks along the sea, with sand between her toes, and looks into your vast spanse of cool water, she will know that your love is deeper than the oceans and higher than the mountains, Yours is love never-ending. Glory Hallelujah! In the name of Jesus, I bind the spirit of confusion, the spirit of doubt, the spirit of fear and the spirit of pride. The Lord rebuke you satan! That no weapon formed against these women and their doings will prosper to and from and during the retreat. Lord, send your mighitiest angels to guard each of these women and their families to protect them from the evil one during this time. Send your angels out before, behind and to their sides as they travel. May they bring you honor and glory Lord! I pray for this blessing in Jesus name. Amen.

Our theme at our next retreat will be "One Night With The King"
We have ours the same time each year, that way it doesn't conflict with the other churchs and we can all be a part of each one. I like that because it gives me plenty of time to work on the crafts.{I'm the crafty person} and we usually have around 60-70- women.
We are coming in our pj's and I thought it would be nice to make lavender scented eye pillows. We are going to have little tiaras for each woman. I still can't figure the gift bags yet, but I still have plenty of time.

Oh wow, lavender eye pillows and tiaras! Sounds fun. I am taking my ever famous purple pj pants with monkeys beating bongo drums and another pair yet to be determined. I have sponge bob and other animated fun pjs that are special to me but the bongo drum monkeys rock best.I am not that crafty but can follow simple directions and have as much fun at it as those who are seriously crafty, I think. Jewlz you make me so glad to be a sister just so I can know you! Rebekah, you know you are much loved, thanks for popping by. Wish I could take you. |
