Well, mine was "Tangerine" by Jimmy Dorsey.  (We're talking 1942 here folks!)  Frankly, I never even heard of that song but I have heard of Tommy and Jimmy Dorsey from my parents so if it was a Big Band sound it was probably pretty cool.  You're right though Kathy, it was fun to think back to earlier hits.  It got the nostalgia going for some of my favs from the late 1950's!

Toni:  It's about a guy coming home on a bus after being in prison, wanting a "sign" from his wife if she still wanted him after all he's done, he sent her a letter, asking for her to put a yellow ribbon around the old oak tree if she still wanted him. He gets close to home with the "whole.........bus a cheering" to see 100 yellow ribbons around the old oak tree! A classic!

Mine was "Wanted" by Perry Como, and I have no clue about that one!   LOL

Kathy, "Tangerine" sounded vaguely familiar so I must have heard it on an old recording somewhere along the way on my musical journey.  Thanks!  :-)
