Bring them the Grits! Grits is a breakfast food that many of us have grown up eating “ Whether you liked them or not” Momma or grandma would pile those grits on your plate and would tell you “ Its good for you, and they will keep you full” Some of us still eat them to this day, But for many that tradition of eating grits is far gone”
Grits are something I hold dear because they are not only good , but they keep you full” Yes they do hold true to there name (GRITS) because they are Gritty , but when you get used to it you learn to appreciate the fullness and even the grit left in your mouth. I can remember all to well how my Grandmother would fix us that big breakfast , and I would say “ I don’t want the white things” Of course it was not an option! Grits remind me of how the word of God should be delivered, and how some of us in ministry have forgotten how grits ought to be served “ Whether you like them or not”! “ You know that the grits are good for the people but you chose to serve them to fit their taste” Some of us add Sugar, some add lots of butter, and some just will not serve them at all, Because they don’t want to hear the cries of the flock telling them “ Not to put the white stuff on my plate”
Paul the Apostle was a (GRITS SERVER) if you can remember after his conversion to Christ, he would not hold back serving up the good old fashion word of God!
(HE SERVED IT THE WAY GRANDMA USED TO GIVE IT) Raw , UNCUT, and always pure! Remember how he preached in Athens on Mars hill? 17:16 Now while Paul waited for them at Athens, his spirit was stirred in him, when he saw the city wholly given to idolatry. 17:17 Therefore disputed he in the synagogue with the Jews, and with the devout persons, and in the market daily with them that met with him. 17:18 Then certain philosophers of the Epicureans, and of the Stoicks, encountered him. And some said, What will this babbler say? other some, He seemeth to be a setter forth of strange gods: because he preached unto them Jesus, and the resurrection. 17:19 And they took him, and brought him unto Areopagus, saying, May we know what this new doctrine, whereof thou speakest, [is]? 17:20 For thou bringest certain strange things to our ears: we would know therefore what these things mean. 17:21 (For all the Athenians and strangers which were there spent their time in nothing else, but either to tell, or to hear some new thing.) 17:22 Then Paul stood in the midst of Mars' hill, and said, [Ye] men of Athens, I perceive that in all things ye are too superstitious. 17:23 For as I passed by, and beheld your devotions, I found an altar with this inscription, TO THE UNKNOWN GOD. Whom therefore ye ignorantly worship, him declare I unto you. 17:24 God that made the world and all things therein, seeing that he is Lord of heaven and earth, dwelleth not in temples made with hands; 17:25 Neither is worshipped with men's hands, as though he needed any thing, seeing he giveth to all life, and breath, and all things; 17:26 And hath made of one blood all nations of men for to dwell on all the face of the earth, and hath determined the times before appointed, and the bounds of their habitation; 17:27 That they should seek the Lord, if haply they might feel after him, and find him, though he be not far from every one of us: 17:28 For in him we live, and move, and have our being; as certain also of your own poets have said, For we are also his offspring. 17:29 Forasmuch then as we are the offspring of God, we ought not to think that the Godhead is like unto gold, or silver, or stone, graven by art and man's device. 17:30 And the times of this ignorance God winked at; but now commandeth all men every where to repent:
Sometime (when we serve Grits) “ The word of God” people will not like us or the Grits, but if you don’t serve them people will be hungry after while and will began to search for things less filling and less gritty, “In other words” They will look for some kind of sweetener to take away from the gritty taste in the mouth.
What it is that they don’t realize is that the grits are still going to be gritty no matter how much sweetener you put on them, it just takes longer to get used to them.
So like Paul and Grandma I chose to serve the grits! They will fill you up! Help you grow! And you wont be as hungry after eating them! So if serving grits is wrong (RAW, UN-CUT WORD OF GOD ) than just go ask your Grandma (GOD) if you have an option.

| I love me some grits! I boil a couple of eggs and fry up some bacon and mix it up for a deeeelicious breakfast! A little margarine and some salt and pepper and I got a meal that sticks to my ribs! Yeah I love serving grits (the word of God) the same way. Some people don't like it but then that is just too bad! I'm not in this earth to please anyone. I'm here to please God, and when he is pleased with me I know he is pleased with me! Thanx Evangelist! |
