Saints, I just got word tonight that dear Lucy lost her gangrenous leg. They did rush surgery and cut her leg off at the knee as the gangrene had spread. As you can imagine, this will take some adjustment in getting used to!
Also, Lucy's elder sister (not sure her age but she was almost 80 years old), died suddenly. I think she had a heart attack but I am not sure.
Please hold Lucy and her family up in prayer at this time.
Update - March 9, 2009
Praise the Lord for His miracle healing power! This dear old woman was healed from all signs of cancer AND has no more trace of tuberculosis. Her gangrenous leg has not completely healed but is sufficiently better so as to have been discharged from the hospital!
Can you believe what a wonderful report this is? God is sooooooooo good and Lucy is so excited. She isn't yet saved but praise God, she now has such a testimony of God's goodness toward her that I believe it will be a short matter of time before she gives her heart and life to Him. Please continue in prayer for her salvation.
Thank you saints and friends for all your prayers. Let's give God all the glory. Hallelujah and Amen!
Background
In late February I asked for prayer for Lucy, a 76 year old Canadian woman who had been admitted to hospital for surgery on a gangrenous leg. Instead her surgery was cancelled due to suspected cancer (involving large mass) in the body and a diagnosis of tuberculosis (highly contagious).
I explained in my prayer request that she was also an unsaved smoker who needed not only healing but salvation. Several of you responded in prayer and with concerned thoughts.
