k well this is so awesome cuz its like calling out people who are fake. its like, if you are telling people not to do something and you turn right around and do it......... youre really fake and no one is going to like you

 

2:21 you then who teach others, will you not teach yourself? While you preach against stealing, do you steal? 2:22 You who say that one must not commit adultery, do you commit adultery? You who abhor idols, do you rob temples? 2:23 You who boast in the law, do you dishonor God by breaking the law?

These were the "religious" people, especially Jesus was speaking to.  They should have known better. They were self-righteous and judgmental.  I think we can all be hypocrites sometimes, if we're honest. I have my moments, and I don't like "fake" either, but sometimes we deceive ourselves....

Hi Carrie,
Besides being "exposed as fakes" and not being liked because of it, when we act like hypocrites we're disappointing ourselves, everybody else, and God too.
