| My son got saved!!!! Glory to God |

I don't even know where to begin. Wednesday night my son, Rodney, gave his heart to the Lord. *tears of joy* The Lord has been talking to Rodney's heart for awhile and Wednesday night during Church service Pastor Pat did a salvation call and Rodney, boldly, lifted his hands to accept the Lord. The joy of the Lord is his strength and I know the angels were singing and dancing for joy when Rodney got saved because I know I was. Brother Mark from our church went out to his car and got his bible and handed it to my son. When I got home from work I asked my son how service went and he said fine. He didn't say anything for a bit but than brought out the bible that brother Mark gave him. He was proudly showing us his new bible when his Dad asked him why Mark gave him the bible. Rodney smiled real big and replied, " Because I got saved tonight." God is so very awesome and all I have been able to do since Rodney gave his heart to Jesus is thank the Lord every second and every minute of the day. I have been praying and asking the Lord to just open the windows to Heaven and pour blesses upon my son. To fill my son with His presences and to give Rodney a bold holy filled spirit to go out and preach His word. To resist peer pressure and not to be afraid or ashamed to speak boldly of how God came into his heart. The Lord is also blessing my job at the Pet Store as well. Not only am I getting more hours but I have been given favor in the eyes of the animals. Their reaction towards me is wonderful. My boss Cindy says that she is amazed how well the animals are taking to me. We have a Amazon Bird that is very hard to get next to. She's a store pet that we just got about a month ago. Anyhow, I can't spell her name but she is a very pretty bird who loves to talk all the time. She is very careful about who she allows to come near her. The last few weeks I have been giving her lots of love and attention. Just getting to know her and letting her get to know me as well. I decided that I would try and open the cage today so I could get closer to her and give her lots of love. She would only let me touch her from the outside of the cage. I declared boldly that I would be able to open her cage and give her closer one on one attention. Cindy just laughed, not out of disrespect for me, but she knew how this bird was. The phone rang and as Cindy was talking on the phone I opened her cage. To my amazement the pretty amazon bird came right up to me and started cooing and taking in every minute of my loving that I was giving her. I nearly started crying because I didn't realize how good I was with animals until she allowed me the stick my hand in her cage and give her lots and lots of love. Cindy, my boss, after getting off the phone was speechless. All she could say was, "Oh my God she's letting you put your hand in her cage and pet her." We also have another bird called a Caique. He's about 6 months old. He's such a neat bird. Whenever anyone holds him he can't seem to hold still. For some reason whenever I hold Caique he lays on his back against my chest and loves it when I rub his belly. He's very restful and peaceful in my arms and gives me lots and lots of kisses. Cindy truly is amazed at how well the animals are taking to me. I give all credit to the Lord because it's His Spirit that my animals are feeling. I wanted to share this with you because God is so very awesome and loving and when we allow His Spirit to live in us than not just people can sense it but animals as well.
