4:15 For we have not a high priest that cannot be touched with the feeling of our infirmities; but one that hath been in all points tempted like as `we are, yet' without sin. 4:16 Let us therefore draw near with boldness unto the throne of grace, that we may receive mercy, and may find grace to help `us' in time of need. Last night folks......was the bomb diggity(yeah I took it back) The women met up and had a class about The bible being the standard. Now I'm sure everyone felt comfertable be it that the word study is pretty familiar but Pam got up there and made it personal and that is what hit home folks. I wanted to share something that had a great impact on me. Not letting my emotions shipwreck my faith. Gods word is the final say not my feelings and hurts. Two examples of peolple in the bible who "felt" Elijah and Jesus. Yet they did not shrink back. They had emotional moments but they picked themselves up and was still obedient. For jesus that meant picking up his cross and proceeding to death. For me what does it mean? For you what does it mean? The thing that was motivating both these men is obedience and devotion to God.I had to ask myself am I keeping in step with the spirit Am I living out Galations:5v 24 and 25. Continually crucifying my sinful nature to value my emotions over biblical truth.Jhon 8v 31-32 says then you will know the truth and the truth shall set you free. How many of us have felt captive by our emotions. Jesus overcame that TOO and because of that I live. Thanks for reading ,
Much love and respect and support Berniece. |
