Yes!  It is most important that we actually hear him weeping for those who are perishing; for those who are by nature children of wrath, as is the rest of mankind; and as we were before we received the grace of God ourselves!  If we don't hear him weeping then we will become Pharisees who condemn and judge those whom God sent Jesus into the world to save.  Although the anger of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, at the same time God is in Christ and in us seeking to reconcile the world to himself!  It is not his desire that any perish but that all would come to a change of mind and be saved.

When we become religious we begin judging those who are outside the assemblies [e.g. Church] and we begin justifying the sins of those who are inside the assemblies!  We go on campaigns and carry signs condemning "sinners" while admonishing believers that they are to ignore the sins of their fellow believers!

We forget our first love and we forget that we ourselves were dead in our own trespasses and sins; we forget that we did nothing to attract or merit the grace and mercy of God that was extended to us while we were dead in our sin. Out of our desire to live a godly life and our failure to do so [because we are attempting to do it in the flesh and not in the spirit] we begin to judge the gross sins of those who are the slaves of sin so that we can feel good about our own failures.  A very subtle self-deception!

We must not forget who were were and how we got where we are: in Christ and a new creation!

Blessings!

My eldest daughter is just beginning to pull away from mommy and daddy emotionally, and it is breaking my heart. Not that she is going anywhere. We did a very good job raising her (and continue to do so). But it makes me think. If my heart is so wrenched over the slight space that has appeared recently between my daughter and I, I can't even begin to imagine the magnitude of God's sadness over the distance of his people's hearts from him.

What this means to you and I....  perserverance, and walking softly, whispering to God's children, for His yoke is gentle.

It is our job to get this message out to the people, and my heart cries with you.

Heyyyyyyyyyyy, I finally got to this blog through another one, LOLOL.

There was a song I used to sing at revivals......it's called I Wonder If God Cries

I wonder if my God really cries,

When He wants to bless His children

His Holy Spirit they deny.

After giving His very best,

In His Son to die.

I wonder if it put pain in the heart of my God,

or tears in His eyes. ~Gary Paxton

You know...  I was on a confirmation retreat one year with a very bright 6th grader.  I still adore her.  We were paired off.

We both agreed that God cries for His children.  I just know it my heart.  He loves us that much.
