Clouds with no silver lining!(The Message)
For the past month or so now, God has placed that in my spirit. I was sitting in church about a month ago, and Pastor Mark was preaching, can't remember exactly what it was about right now, but I heard the Lord tell me to turn to Joel 2 it. Then He told me specifically to read verse 1 over and over again. I heard Him say, "My people need to WAKE UP!" He said it out loud to me! As to be yelling it out! He was declaring to me that the people of God are as 'asleep'! They have seemed to be 'dozing' so to say, concerning the matters of His works.
Oh how I can see this. People have been sitting back, as though they have all the time in the world to be about God's business. No! That is not so. There is an "Urgency" in the air! God is calling us to righteousness as I type this. He has been really on Tania about walking in 'Integrity' and doing that which He is calling me to do. He said to me last Sunday, "No more compromising"! NONE! I have been guilty of it, especially when it comes to my family and even in the ministries at my church. My family for one, are walking in this funk so to say. They think that they have all the time in the world to make a decision about Christ. Like, time is standing still just for them to do what it is they want to do before they decide, "well, I 'guess' I'm ready to surrender to God!" Umm..NOT!!! God is calling them NOW!!! They don't have time to sit back and kick it until 'they' get ready. You know, God has been talking to me about Grace! Yes, He gives us Grace to cover us when we are ignorant to the things we are doing, but it will come a time when we will not be covered, especially when we are willfully sinning!
4:17 Therefore to him that knoweth to do good, and doeth [it] not, to him it is sin.
God is tired of our laziness and our complacency! He wants us to be about His business. Yes! I am talking to Tania too. Because I too have been lazy about His business. It is time for an Awakening in the Body of Christ and for the unbelievers. But it is our duty to do whatever it takes to help them WAKE UP!
13:11 And that, knowing the time, that now [it is] high time to awake out of sleep: for now [is] our salvation nearer than when we believed.
Billye Brim has been holding afternoon prayer for over a month now on AWAKENING! Our church has been joining her via satellite weekly during these prayer meetings. Not only has she been doing this, there are thousands of churches and ministries across the world that are holding these prayer meetings, praying for an Awakening across this nation. Surely it is high time for the people to wake up and realize that the coming of the Lord is near.
3:3 Remember therefore how thou hast received and heard, and hold fast, and repent. If therefore thou shalt not watch, I will come on thee as a thief, and thou shalt not know what hour I will come upon thee.
Surely we don't want to caught sleeping! I know I don't. I am ready to be about the business of the Father. I want the Lord to 'Awaken' Tania in a new way. Strengthen me and use me to help wake up the people around me to the truth of salvation and righteousness.
My prayer:
Father, right now I come to asking you dear Father to open the eyes and the hearts of your people! Father, open my eyes, wake me up Lord and then use me to help awaken others Lord that don't know you, or even the ones that do that have fallen asleep. Father, use me to be a blessing. Teach me to walk in Your will and in Your way, to hear Your voice and obey You at all times. Father, I don't want to be guilty of falling asleep on the job. I want to be a willful and faithful servant. Help us to be aware of the what time it and and WAKE UP AND SHAKE UP THIS NATION!!! In Jesus' Mighty Name I pray, Amen and Amen!!!
