And something I was reminded of one day is that the Lord NEVER forgets the things we've done for His kingdom...even if it was ten days ago, ten weeks ago, ten years ago!  How cool is that? At a time where I felt like a useless bump on a log, living out here in the sticks, I was reminded that the Lord hasn't just disregarded all the things I DID do when given the opportunity.  That's such a great thought!  God looks at where we are at, both spiritually and geographically, physically and so on, and right now my life outside of Sunday church is the internet.   I may never have my praise from people, but God remembers and loves me and rewards me openly for what is done in secret. He promised that. Cool, huh?

Does this mean you are back now Laura! Well Herman you really touched on a good point today. I really do a lot of things for people not expecting any rewards. I get blessed anyway and I would rather have more of Jesus than all the silver and gold in the world. Thanx Brother Herman!

I was taught to say thank you for everything, as well as yes sir, an yes ma'am.  Growing up on a farm in the dusty Panhandle... we really didn't take anything for granted.

I'm always reminding my family to say thank you, and you are welcome.  Simple words...  but you brought a different light to this.  For in saying these words, I never really taught them the meaning behind the words.   This is a to do.

God bless you, Herman.

He has put you exactly where He needs you and you are fulfilling His purpose every day! When you understand that, you'll begin to find meaning in everything you do.

This is WONDERFUL ADVICE, BROTHER HERMAN! Praise the Lord. Thank you for the Word. I do try to find meaning in each day for this is the day that the Lord has  made. Amen?!

Dear Pastor,

God thanking us: Now that is so cool. What a mentor for all us. I remember the old days when Clerks in stores when chase you down just to say thanks. Without being a grateful or nation we are weak and ripe for the terroist. Before Jesus always broke bread, the first thing He did was to give thanks. As a Pastor in the church. I see the most faithful people are also the most grateful. Love your blog.

I am reminded of what a woman in our Ladies Church Group said-  "Whenever I pray I start it with Dear God, I am reporting for duty."  Thank you for the reminder that He is who we are seeking to please, who we work for and what we work with!

To say "Thank you" for these words hardly seems enough. I have been struggling with those very facts lately. My husband was layed off in May and my job is a thankless one. I feel I work my fingers to the bone for only $10.00 an hour. I am always in pain, due to the type of work I do, and have no rest. I need to remember that the Father put me in this job for a reason and even if those I work for are not appreciative, He is! Halleluja! Praise His Holy Name!!
