5:6 For in Christ Jesus neither circumcision nor uncircumcision is of any avail, but faith working through love. This is a good word today, my Friends. Are you "in Christ"? Let's stop and ask the Lord to help us look into the depth and meaning of this Wonderful verse, right now. Father, thank you for speaking to us through your Holy Word. Quiet our minds now Lord and speak to our hearts today. Let Your Word change us into your likeness, Lord Jesus, that you may use us, Father. Amen.
6. For [if we are] in Christ Jesus, neither circumcision nor uncircumcision counts for anything, but only faith activated and energized and expressed and working through love.
The Amplified inserts the obvious here. I mean, this verse applies only to those who are "in Christ" and doesn't apply, if you are not.
And so, If you are,... it doesn't matter if you are a linked by birth to the original family of Gods' people (Jews) or if you have been adopted, (like me) through Christ and the infilling of the Holy Spirit, "neither of those count for anything to God. So, what does count to God? Only faith in Jesus Christ.
At the day of Judgement it will be very much like a day in any courtroom today. There will be a Judge, whom in this case will be God, and He will pronounce Judgement as the truth reveals itself. Those whom are guilty will receive sentencing as is also revealed in truth. Except!... For those whom are represented by an attorney... Jesus Christ. Those whom are "in Christ" have had their names recorded in the attorneys' book... The Lambs book and they will not receive judgement.
But how will Christ know that you have had faith in Him? Well, it's right here in this same verse. Christ will know you have had faith because it will have been "activated and energized and expressed and working through love."
This is what we have been studying about now for months.
The importance of love is again revealed here in this verse as a sign that we have had Faith in Christ. For, if we have faith in Christ, we have shown Him, First; How much we love God, and Secondly; How much we love one another.
If you haven't been following along in our study of love, I invite you to begin this in-depth study of the most important thing in the Word of God. The study begins with the title, "This Thing Called Love". I promise, that you will be blessed.
I love you. |

I have been blessed reading your blogs and studying about the love. I saw this verse this morning but had to scoot to work and thought to myself, I hope Preston takes it on. wonderful job. I work for lawyers so I enjoy the courtroom illustration. I used to do title claim work and we got Letters of Indemnification that meant a judgment didn't affect our title. It made me think of that here. Much love, juanita |

| Well, we can speak in tongues, cast out demons, prophesy, perform miracles, preach sermons, have a TV show etc. etc. and end up in hell without love. So love IS super duper crucial. |

Romans 8:35 Who shall ever separate us from Christ's love? Shall suffering and affliction and tribulation? Or calamity and distress? Or persecution or hunger or destitution or peril or sword?

Hi everyone great study! I was just passing through tonight looking for a good word and found it in the subject I love most, loving God and others I hope these verses help you further your study. Thanks, Kay Eph. 3:19 And to know the love of Christ, which passeth knowledge, that ye might be filled with all the fulness of God.1 Jh. 2 : 5 But whoso keepeth his word, in him verily is the love of God perfected: hereby know we that we are in him1Jh, 3:16 Hereby perceive we the love of God, because he laid down his life for us: and we ought to lay down our lives for the brethren.1 Jh. 5:3 For this is the love of God, that we keep his commandments: and his commandments are not grievousJude1:21 Keep yourselves in the love of God, looking for the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ unto eternal life.1Jh. 4:7 Beloved, let us love one another: for love is of God; and every one that loveth is born of God, and knoweth God. | When you love God First Commandment | | You shall have no other Gods before Me | | Thou shalt not make unto thee any graven image | | Thou shalt not take the name of the Lord thy God in vain | | Remember the Sabbath to keep it Holy | | When you love your neighbor as yourselfSecond Commandment | | Honor they mother and thy father | | Thou shalt not kill | | Thou shalt not commit adultery | | Thou shalt not steal | | Thou shalt not bear false witness against they neighbor | | Thou shalt not covet |
On these two hang all the laws of all the prophets! |
