| Not Just Going Thru the Motions |

20:24 But I do not account my life of any value nor as precious to myself, if only I may accomplish my course and the ministry which I received from the Lord Jesus, to testify to the gospel of the grace of God. I personally love this verse, because when you think about it, What value do we have in life without our God? He created us for a purpose, not just to waste away our lives with fruitless things. The other day i heard a song on the radio called " Don't Wanna Just Go Thru the Motions" by Matthew West. Its about how you don;t want to waste away your life and be a "lazy Christian" and when you get to heaven and stand in the presence of our awesome God realize you just went thru the motions and never had an intimate relationship with Him. In the 2nd half of this verse it talks about testifying the grace of our God. In James 4 it says the He gives us more grace, that He opposes the proud but gives grace to the humble. If we could just get the message out you guys, living for Him and allowing Him to be in control of your life, imagine how awesome that would be? Because you know what? We were called for this. So now that we have that calling. let's answer to it. And remember, life shouldn't be about us just going through the motions. Are you? |
