Dear Justin,
I have loved you so dearly, since even before you were born. I used to talk to you while you were still inside your mother. I knew you were my son before anyone told us what you were.
You have never done anything that has made me love you less. I have always been proud of you and you have always brought me much joy. Your love for the Lord and the study of His Word has made me the happiest. I love you very much.
Now you are married to Alicia and have a family of your own. I know you will be a good husband to her as you allow the Lord to lead you. Never give her His place in your heart and He will always help you to be the best husband you can be.
I am very happy and proud of the person you believe to be your lifelong helpmate and wife. She is very beautiful son and I know she will be a wonderful wife. I know you will love her and watch over her as the Lord would expect from you. Now that the two of you have become one, there should never be any secrets between you. Remember Gods definition of love because it will never fail.
You are also a father now and I can see that James and Caitlin love you very much and I know you love them too. Always direct them toward the Lord and always let it be real. Expose the world to them whenever possible, but always be sure they are encouraged by the truth enough to always have hope. Teach them to never be satisfied with unanswered questions about God, the universe, and life. Help them to find the answers and never try to make them believe anything.
Let them see how much you love Him. Never forget that while He has given you this time and responsibility with them that they are ultimately His. I receive Alicia and the children into my heart as my flesh an blood and I will always be ready to give even my own life for them as I would for you.

| Guess this posted while I was doing thirtynine other things and missed it. How beautiful. I have a son who is a father and husband and I have truly loved my daughter in law, Jennifer. She is delightful to my son and grands. She is patient and takes them to church. My son is waffling in his faith and you can add that to your prayers for me. I felt your love for Justin and have to tell you, I truly get it. Theo was grown under my heart and embedded deeply still. I love you Preston. Be blessed. |
