If you have ever had to work on your water lines to your home, first you need to turn off the water at the main. You fix the problem, then you turn the water back on. There's where it gets yucky. Whatever has gotten into that line is going to come through your faucet and it's not pretty.....it spews forth mud, air and yuck. Why? Because what was once pure and clean water has been breached, what was sealed against the yuck was no longer sealed and the yuck seeped in. Now, it may have taken several months or years for that line to break down, to crack, to leak the yuck in.....but the yuck builds and builds......and it's gotta get out somewhere......and that will be through your nice clean faucet, where you drink in the water! Do you drink that yuck intentionally? Probably not, because at first it's very subtle, you really don't notice it...then it gets worse......and then when the line it fixed and you turn that faucet on, you're in shock......how could I have been drinking in that yuck?????? It sickens you!
satan works the same way in Christians lives. It's subtle at first, there's a crack, a leak somewhere. But, it not taken care of it grows, and the yuck builds and builds........and guess where it comes out? Yep, it spews out of the mouth. Now, here's the kicker in that......for satan to work, someone has to be listening to the overflow of yuck out of that mouth......listening and believing that what spews is truth. And then it grows even more! satan is doing the happy dance......all from a subtle crack, a breach from God, a life fills with yuck, overflows onto others, others listen and believe.....and a vicious circle is started.
There is a remedy for the yuck! Take it to God, allow him to fix the crack, to mend the leak, repair and restore, afterall, He is the ONLY one who can do that.....not those it spews over to. Again, it's surrendering and not taking back what you've surrendered. Because if you do, the yuck grows even bigger. The yuck in your heart will come out, the Bible says so, through the mouth.

When I whined to God about my anger issues and some of the bad stuff coming out of my mouth, and how i wanted to be "delivered" from it, God put it to me this way: I gotta get so filled with His word that when something happens, instead of a bad word coming out, only HIS words will come out because out of the abundance of the heart, the mouth speaks. This is a great spiritual parallel you picked up on!

Forgive me if I not posted, was pondering on this most of the day yesterday This also reminds me the vessel between us and God.. if it all clog up or fatten with miry clay then it cannot be reach to the Father nor The Father cannot reach down, till it gets clean up unclogged, That when we acknowledge it needs to be clean up and down on our knees and That when Holy Spirit come in and pours Jesus blood in there and flushes it out to have it all clean and pure.. I am glad I joined, my church, and I haven't heard that much truth in quite a few years,put so plain and logical. Have I not heard the plain truth in such a long time or maybe I didn't listen when I heard it or when it was trying to be told to me. Either way it was totally refreshing and I hope not only to read it, but continue to ask God to help me put it into overdue action. jackie in reno
