Grandma G, thank you so much for writing this! I've been thinking about this very same thing, this morning in fact! I'll be posting something later (today?) on the topic. Great thoughts, great points. ~mike

I'm happy that you enjoyed reading this; it's just what God laid on my heart, and opened my spiritual eyes and feelings to His feelings as I've been looking forward to hearing from my grown kids & teenage granddaughter each day in my email and mailbox and telephone calls, and feel very sad when nothing comes. If your children's grandparents live far away, help the kids send them something, a note or a letter of expressed love, a drawn picture; it'll make their grandparent's day and give their day a ray of sunshine discovering it in the mailbox - Guaranteed!

Great blog and you are so right. If we feel forgotten, the Holy Spirit must feel the same way. You may forget me and not lose a thing but never forget Him are you lose it all!
