Is it possible to let God down?

I was reading a blog the other day that was basically making the point that we should do all we can to be all we can. Great...I think we should too. The one thing I didn't agree with is that we could let God down if we didn't live up to "all He wants us to be." I don't see how God could ever be disappointed with us. He knows the end from the beginning. What do you think?

Hi Zach and Jessica - good to see you here!  Just discovered blogging on MyChurch.org this morning :)  You seem to be asking if God can be disappointed, stating surely He can't since He knows everything that's going to happen anyway.  I think that the portrayal of God's character in the Bible suggests that God is grieved by our transgressions, though He is also gracious and forgiving. Surely God feels our hurts and pain, is real and living and He understands us completely but despite being omniscient, cannot be indifferent to those times when we turn our backs on Him. P.s. I like the reminder below - 1 Thessalonians 5:11... good advice for me!!
