Only 4 days into this process and I'm already feeling closer to God. I would really like to know if anyone here is working through this book too. If you have read the book and/or completed the 12 week process, then please tell me about it. |

I'm getting better every day. The staples are out, the incision is healed and I'm healthier than before surgery. All is well.
This book is probably one of the greatest books in my library, and I would give it equal strength with The Shack (another must-read). As a child I was very creative and interested in many artistic things, like leathercraft, woodworking, wood burning, ceramics, sketching and drafting. However, my homelife mocked artistry and I was strongly discouraged to pursue anything that was not "Country Boy" material. If it wasn't sports or another testosterone overloaded pursuit, I was told to drop it.
So now here I am 30 years later, and I can no longer hush the creative voice that has continually begged for expression. The very first chapter in this book includes exercises that help me learn how to make time and opportunity for my creative ability side to express, dream and awaken so that it can be included in my life.
You may also be interested to know that the book also has a companion workbook, however, it's not really necessary unless you are part of a focus group that is going to go through the 12 week path together. Both books have been out for a while and can easily be found in nearly any used book store. I found mine at half price books for $6.00 (what a steal!). |

"...healthier than before surgery." SWEET!! Jonathan, you do not know how joyful I am at reading that!!
"I can no longer hush the creative voice..." Seriously, you haven't been able to on here either. I have sensed for a long time now that you are an extremely creative, "sensitive" person. (meaning, you sense/perceive below the surface) I'm really glad this book is serving you well! May the Lord give you an outlet for your great artistic side. |
