"And the harvest of righteousness is sown in peace by those who make peace".
I would say that this verse is not just for farmers of soil, but for anyone who are looking for benefits in their Christian walk.Where there is peace, there is joy even though storms may be roaring your life.Peace comes when we put our trust in God and believe that He knows the beginning from the end, and that all things will work together for good, for those that love Him and are called according to His purpose.
Peace does not come at the click of baptism,it is a process and requires constant work.We go through a series of life experiences until we come to the full meaning in the mind of the Father and His Son.However, there are somethings we can do to advance in obtaining peace.
First off, we can meditate of the Word each day to reprogram our thinking. The Word says His ways and thoughts are not like ours. Our natural thought processes usually go against the ways of God.The more we associate and exercise our mind in the opposite direction, we can grow that way.A strong mind screams at sin that there is no walk through there.
Secondly,we have to be prepared to suffer wrong, forgive and seek forgiveness when we mess up.God's mercy and grace is contingent on how much we are prepared to forgive others. This is one of the greatest challenges most Christians are likely to face. How do we take pain and internalize it as something we must go through to achieve greatness, or the reward God has in store for us? The Bible clearly says that we can't imagine what he has prepared for us and yet, through the eyes of faith, our challenge is to forsake our short term pleasures for long term joys. Are our lives at the point where we are weary with the struggles in the flesh, or are we at the point that there is heaven, right now, and we just will eat, drink and be merry for tomorrow we die? When life is cycling out on us, we get to see that there must be more than eat, drink and be merry.
All the foolish things I done in my life are there to remind me that I can still try again and do better. And by God's grace my life can mirror that of the Lord Jesus.I'm encouraging you to seek peace and pursue it.
God Bless,
