| not about me |
|
| |
I was reading the comments on my blog today and realized that it was all about me again! The only blogs that I have written have been about me! So here is something different!
As some of you know I love to hunt and fish, oh I could tell some stories about me and Cindy in a boat, but that is for later! This is a tail of two coyote pups!
Late one fall morning as I was getting ready to abandon my tree-stand for the day, I caught movement out of the corner of my eye. My heart started to pound, I looked to see if I could get a shot at the deer, but to my surprise it was two coyote pups! So I just set back and watched for a few minutes. These little guys were fighting and playing just like domestic pups. It was all that I could do to keep quite and just watch. Eventually they wandered off to other worlds to conquer and I went home.
I didn't tell Cindy about this until the other day, and she said there's you a blog ( her and Sugg are on me about not blogging). So here I am trying to make a point of this story! Here goes...
Coyotes are like dogs in many ways but they differ in one, domestic dogs need and love us, coyotes fear and distrust us! This like man in many ways, those of us who Believe seek and need the Love of God, those who don't fear and mistrust our God!
We as Christians need to find a way to bring the Gospel to these coyotes in a way that they can relate too!
So I pray that God shows me a way to do this, because there are many "coyotes) out there!
Father give the strength and wisdom to talk to the coyotes in my life in the name of Christ, Amen. |

Ken
There are so many coyotes and there are so many different ways to tell them of the goodness of our God. If we tried to tailor the Word to each individual then we wouldn't tell anyone, would we? Just start talking about Him and the Holy Spirit will lead you in the right direction. He will let you know when to speak and when not to...
God is talking to you right now, listen, just listen.
Love you |

| Reading between the lines Ken, I think you're right. There's a lot of "coyote" people out there that fear and mistrust God, and there are people who are more "domesticated" shall we say - that seek and need the love of God. Did I read between the lines right? |

You know...even though coyotes aren't generally friendly to people...they can still be a blessing. They eat the mice and rats out in the pasture, are excellent parents, and sing the most beautiful songs at night. I guess we just have to respect their boundaries to be able to enjoy them. And once in a great, great while, one of them might learn to trust one of us just a little bit. Makes me realize that I need to appreciate those people who are wary when I approach. I need to not take it so personally :) and just respect their boundaries. Thanks for sharing.. |
