2:1 But as for you, teach what befits sound doctrine.Titus 2:1

In contrast to the false teachers mentioned in chapter 1, Titus is called to teach what helps the believers.  Paul explains that what helps the believers is sound doctrine.  Obviously doctrine is not popular in our society today, BUT it is what the church needs!  So we must avoid dumbing down the message thinking we are able to make the Gospel more palatable.  We don't need to teach warm fuzzy stories.  We must teach sound doctrine, so that the body can be strengthen. Today, make it your aim to know doctrine!
