| What a blessing when God corrects you! |
|
| |
5:8 But as for me, I would seek unto God, And unto God would I commit my cause; 5:9Who doeth great things and unsearchable, Marvellous things without number: 5:10Who giveth rain upon the earth, And sendeth waters upon the fields; 5:11So that he setteth up on high those that are low, And those that mourn are exalted to safety. 5:12He frustrateth the devices of the crafty, So that their hands cannot perform their enterprise. 5:13He taketh the wise in their own craftiness; And the counsel of the cunning is carried headlong. 5:14 They meet with darkness in the day-time, And grope at noonday as in the night. 5:15But he saveth from the sword of their mouth, Even the needy from the hand of the mighty. 5:16So the poor hath hope, And iniquity stoppeth her mouth. 5:17Behold, happy is the man whom God correcteth: Therefore despise not thou the chastening of the Almighty. 5:18For he maketh sore, and bindeth up; He woundeth, and his hands make whole. 5:19 He will deliver thee in six troubles; Yea, in seven there shall no evil touch thee. 5:20 In famine he will redeem thee from death; And in war from the power of the sword. 5:21Thou shalt be hid from the scourge of the tongue; Neither shalt thou be afraid of destruction when it cometh. 5:22 At destruction and dearth thou shalt laugh; Neither shalt thou be afraid of the beasts of the earth. 5:23 For thou shalt be in league with the stones of the field; And the beasts of the field shall be at peace with thee. 5:24 And thou shalt know that thy tent is in peace; And thou shalt visit thy fold, and shalt miss nothing. 5:25 Thou shalt know also that thy seed shall be great, And thine offspring as the grass of the earth. 5:26Thou shalt come to thy grave in a full age, Like as a shock of grain cometh in in its season. 5:27 Lo this, we have searched it, so it is; Hear it, and know thou it for thy good. Many of you know my story and that I am disabled with MS, well I have been feeling sorry for myself for many months. But, this passage has brought me to my senses! I am a very fortunate man to have a wife who has loved me through all that I have put her through, 2 wonderful sons and their mates ( my daughters-in-love), 6 wonderful grandchildren, and believe it or not a wonderful mother-in-law! But the most important thing that I have is a God who loves me enough to discipline me the heal the hurts! I guess what I am trying to say is thank you God for kicking my butt when it needs it! |

Step out and step up, you have a life to tell, a life that can affect so many people for the Lord. You are my gift from God, there is a heart after God inside you, let go and let Him have His way with you. I stand beside you, cheering you on!!!!! Love you! Check out the Message version of part of the passage: 17-19 "So, what a blessing when God steps in and corrects you! Mind you, don't despise the discipline of Almighty God! True, he wounds, but he also dresses the wound; the same hand that hurts you, heals you. From one disaster after another he delivers you; no matter what the calamity, the evil can't touch you— Wooooooohoooooooooooooooooooooooo, now them is some words to cling to, amen??????? |

| Amen! When God ain't being magnified, your problems are! We're all the same, that way. I guess that's why the Bible says to think on things that are lovely and pure and of good report, and praiseworthy and so on and so forth. :) |

you really ARE and official blogger now...heehehee....what can I say? I'm still seeking to understand this...what throws me is I know that God is a FATHER and we are HIS CHILDREN and all parents reprimande their children, bringing correction...but I was taught that God is GOOD and everything GOOD comes from Him...and satan is BAD and everything BAD comes from him...so I guess what throws me is how do we know what is of GOD and what is of the enemy...because verse after verse I am finding that God really does smack us with a two x four once in awhile...this is something that me and Ma Lou have talked about, but it still confuses me a bit...I'm glad that this has reached out and grabbed you in the way that it did...sometimes it is hard to see all the blessings that are staring us right in the face...love you Princess! (and keep the blogs coming...I knew there was something on the inside of you that the world needed/needs to hear) |

LT, What difference does it make if it is from satan or God, what matters is your walk with God and how you handle it whether it is a test or temptation? We spend too much time trying to figure out where it comes from, would it make you feel any better if you knew who was at work? No it would still be hard and would hurt.
Don't ask me any more hard questions, it makes my head hurt!
Love ya' Hollywood ( you're still Hollywood to me) |

| Okayyyyyyy....great response....LOL! You are right...it doesn't really matter who it is from...point taken...guess that's just the way my mind works sometimes and old habits die hard...I'm the one who has to know the who, what, when, where, why, and how of it all...that's my biggest downfall...the more I know, the more I know I don't know...and it drives me crazy sometimes...LOL! Thanks Princess! :) |

So I'm just now reading this after standing out in my yard and pointing my finger at the rotating clouds and yelling at the storm to get back up where it belongs, etc. :) :) :) And this caught my attention: 5:19 He will deliver thee in six troubles; Yea, in seven there shall no evil touch thee. AMEN! It is so true! The weatherman is saying the storm "just strangely dissipated." Hee hee hee! Ain't nuthin' strange about the POWER OF GOD!!! Woo Hoo!!! |

Let God have His way Ken. It is for your good when He disciplines. It is neither spiteful or malicious. It is to bring you to where you need to be.
HE LOVES YOU.
BTW - I agree with CindyLou, tell your story and as you are purged and filled with the Holy Spirit, you will help someone else along the way. You are not alone....
Love you |
