Today is known as "Good Friday" the day that Jesus laid down His life for us.  It is interesting to me that many through history have tried to blame the Jews and the Romans for crucifying Christ, but the truth of the matter is that no man could take His life from Him but He willingly laid it down as a sacrifice for our atonement and redemption.  As I meditate on this verse listed above (Roms 8:32) it is becoming one of my favorites because it tells me that God has already given me His very best. Have you ever heard the saying, "Saving the best for last?" Well in this case God already gave us His very best and therefore if He has already given us essentially everything He could give what else would or could He withhold from us?  He gives us freely so many blessings!  He gives us joy, and peace, and hope, and comfort.  He gives us life, and forgiveness, and redemption, and grace.  He gives us love, and kindness, and mercy, an wisdom. He gives us revelation, and insight into His nature and character.  He gives us intimacy with Him, and fellowship.  He answers our prayers, hears our cries, and empathizes with our weaknesses.  He gives us strength to carry on, power to do His work, The Holy Spirit to guide and teach us (among a lot of other things).  The Bible tells us that we are blessed with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly places in Christ Jesus.  We have an inheritance that is incorruptible, undefiled, and fades not away reserved in Heaven for us. What else do you want?  Do not worry about what you will eat what you will drink or what you will wear.  Don't worry about money, or your job, or retirement for your Heavenly Father knows what you need.  Seek first His Kingdom and His righteousness and all of these things will be added unto you. If we being sinful know how to bless and take care of our children how much more will your Heavenly Father take care of those that are His?  Yes, today is Good Friday and I am so thankful for what Jesus did for me on this day but He keeps on giving and keeps on blessing!  That blood that was shed on Calvary is still effective and sufficient for all my needs and it is amazing to think about the Love and the plan that God had.  The Lamb that was slain before the foundation of the world wow!  To think that God had us in mind way back when.  That we did not choose Him but that He chose us.  Such thoughts are to lofty for me to grasp. That Jesus laid aside His glory and took on the likeness of man and became obedient unto death even the death on the cross.  Today is good, but every day is good because of what Jesus did for us!  Hallelujah what a Savior!
