"See to it that no one makes a prey of you by philosophy and empty deceit, according to human tradition, according to the elemental spirits of the universe, and not according to Christ."
Man, so many people in todays society rely on this promising but empty lie of the ultimate deciever. I am speaking of philosophy..of astronomy..false teachings of the churches..new age ideologies and the likes. If one is not seeking the truth that only comes from Gods word they are apt to be so mislead from the life that God has for us. If one attempts to rely on their own will and their own or someone elses ideals of this world they then begin a slippery slope of deception where at first notion may look good and by the time they reach the bottom they either realize their need for Christ or are so far down the hill that they are brain washed by satan's lies. For even though these false ideals come from a person there are only two forces in this world: Spiritual forces. For one is either following the Lord or they are following satan. There is no one or the other.
Ephesians 6:12 (Whole Chapter)
For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.
We need to come to a recognition that the Lord Jesus is everything, and without Him we have nothing. For Jesus Christ is coming back soon, and I hope and pray that the lost will find Him and accept His gift of salvation turning and repenting of their sins.
