| Like a child |

This verse resembles who we are in so many ways. We are like a child who wants to become a big kid and do everything themselves... without help. But we need help in many instances. We cannot survive without our parents when we are children and we certainly cannot thrive in the world without our Lord. He wants us to want him and need him. When we realize that life is merely life with no meaning- God steps in and we know that this world wouldn't be what it is today if it weren't for Christ Jesus. The FEAR (respect) of the Lord is the beginning of knowledge (of his son); fools (children and people) despise (resent) wisdom and INSTRUCTION.Life is just life- until we learn to learn wisdom and accept instruction.1:7 The fear of the LORD is the beginning of knowledge; fools despise wisdom and instruction. |
