| I Meant To Do My Work Today |
|

3:1 To every [thing there is] a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven: I Meant To Do My Work Todayby Richard Le Gallienne ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ I meant to do my work today, But a brown bird sang in the apple tree And a butterfly flitted across the field, And all the leaves were calling me.
And the wind went sighing over the land, Tossing the grasses to and fro, And a rainbow held out its shining hand-- So what could I do but laugh and go? ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ I found a similar poem recited by Elton John Listen here http://www.amazon.com/Meant-Work-Today-Day-Country/dp/B000WU0TLI |

| Can't listen on dial up, but I like the above poem! I love nature, minus the skeeters/black flies which are suppose to be really bad this year (which makes me wonder what last year's swarm was considered! EEEEK! Bring me to city, please!) |

| Liz, so glad you enjoyed the poem and pictures. This is the first time I'd read a poem by the English man of letters. I pray you get over your sore throat. If it still sore in the morning, I find some hot lemon tea with honey is very good. Or even some hot water with fresh lemon or concentrate and honey. I administer this to my brother who can't take any medications and he likes it too =] |

LOL, Preston. Which bee are you talking about? I couldn't find it on your front page...I guess you're talking about another front page, not your profile page. If you mean the "How ya bee" graphic, I thought he was pretty cute too. On the other hand the "How you bee-n?" one I sometimes use is also cute. Am glad you enjoyed the poem today. I think I'll update the blog with large pics because they are so beautiful! Love you my friend. |

Hey Arlene, I'm glad you enjoyed the poem pics. It was a lovely sunny day today so I went out and got some more beautiful pics. I was trying to capture the apple and cherry blossoms such as they are at this time. It is cold this season and has been raining later than usual so the blossoms still aren't out everywhere. I'm not sure what will happen to them this year so I went out and got the pics I could. I will post them in another blog soon. I wish I could see pics of where you live =] Love you...xoxox

| It's easy to be distracted when we are caught in the awe of our Creator's handiwork. Living in the city doesn't always afford us the glimpses of His existence found in the hillside but He is always around us. I think we might all be bitten by the 'spring' bug; love how you expressed it. |

| Well, I would post pictures, however, I do not have a camera. If I did, I would. There are parts of my city that are absolutely gorgeous - where I live is the run down part of town, however, we have beautiful Oak trees & I love watching the squirrels run around. |

| That's okay my friend. I'll look on line for pictures of Tampa =] Aren't trees and animals such magnificent creations? We have a lot of squirrels here too and I grow corn on patio these past two years for them to eat in late summer and early Fall. |
