Yes, it goes with accountablity. Some people say its their conscience..........we know better.

May I share somethng with you I learned a couple of years ago. 16Confess your faults one to another, and pray one for another, that ye may be healed. The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much. James 5:16
This portion of scripture says we are to confess our faults one to another.
When someone wants to confess their faults to me I always pray for a convenient memory first so when they finish telling me and we pray, the Lord will grant me no memory of what was said.
If we teach this principle to each other we can learn to be respectful of someone's need to confess to us. We are human and I have seen instances where someone's confession became gossip.
Thank you for letting me share this. It has really deepend my realtionship with God also. He sees how I respect His creation and I am blessed for it.
