| My mom's scripture |

My mom always quoted this scripture to us as children. To know to do good and do it not is sin. I have carried this with me for years and not really used it on myself until now. April 20, 2009 was the 7Th anniv. of my mothers death. Even now I can hear her say this if I find myself in a situation that I'm not comfortable in or doing and saying something that I know is not true or good. I'm now in a place where I am not happy and cant figure out what to do. I have prayed and asked God to lead me but it is like I'm not connected to the "power-source" if you know what I mean. Last night the Preacher said " remember the good old days in the Church when people shouted and did not mind staying in church half the night". I also remember those day but now church starts at 9 ish and ends at 12 ish and no one comes back on Sunday night. It's like once is enough and that is all I need. I myself am ready for a move, ready for a change, ready for action. I want more that I have and more than I ever had. The weights of this world have bogged me down and cause me not to trust in God the way I should have over the years. Its a " I can do it myself " world and look what we have done. Just today at my job the husband of one of my coworkers came by to say that he had been laid off his job of 20 years. Two kids in college. I wonder what will happen to this family. At this point I say lets encourage one another and lean of the Lord of Heaven and Earth and trust that in every situation trust in Him and let Him lead our paths. Looking for a spouse, trust in God, looking for joy, trust in God, looking for a place to worship Him then trust in Him and he will lead you. Allow yourself to be lead by the Spirit of truth. Don't just depend on the person in the front of the church to lead you ------ lead yourself and follow Jesus Christ 4:17 Whoever knows what is right to do and fails to do it, for him it is sin. |
