42:1 As the hart panteth after the water brooks, So panteth my soul after thee, O God.
85:6 Wilt thou not revive us again: that thy people may rejoice in thee?
Just as the psalmist cried out for Revival, we can hear the cries all across America crying out in deep sorrow Revive us Oh Lord! If we truly want revival, than we must understand what brings revival. Lets rewind to the Azusa Street Revival in 1906 and you will find that it is easy to see that William Seymour understood that the key to revival begans with prayer. it is said that Seymour stayed on His knees, with His head in a box, humbly praying without ceasing until God brought revival into California, the man that was head of my denomination A.J. Tomlinson sent some of His people to California to check this thing out. God has responded and will always do so to the precious earnest cries of His Children. The Bible says that the effectual, fervant prayer of a righteous man avails much' Websters dictionary defines fervant as marked by great intensity or feeling and effectual is defined to produce a desired effect.'' this verse is saying that if we cry out to God passionatlely, then your prayers will produce your desired effect!' When Seymour bowed His head in that box, it wasn't beautiful, dignified, rehearsed prayers, it wasn't eloquent words of mans wisdom that moved Gods hand, it was a humble hearts cry to see God!
So the question is this, How bad do you want Revival?, do you want it enough to surrender your dignity for His deity?, do you want it bad enough to plant your head in a box and your knees on the ground until His presence enters.if thats what it takes?
7:14 If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.
The Spirit in prayer is not just about the words you utter, but it is the state of the heart.
5:17 pray without ceasing;
Prayer should be our continual state of mind, reflecting our constant desire to be in fellowship with our maker. Revival will not come about because of some renowned Evangelist that came down for a week; Revival will come when the body of Christ develops a passionate hunger for the presence of God. When we desire Revival enough to lay down our agendas, our formalities, our failed traditions, and humble ourselves and cry as the sons of Korah did
42:1 As the hart panteth after the water brooks, So panteth my soul after thee, O God.
After that cry is brought fort from every race, every creed, every denomination, then God will hear from Heaven and touch our generation with and outpouring of the Holy Spirit!
