My prayer today is actually for those who once were very close to God but for whatever reason have chosen to walk away.  My heart is heavy and I can't understand why some choose the path of death and destruction when they have known the love of the Savior. 
God, I pray that they will be completely overcome by your love and compassion, your grace and mercy and turn their eyes back to you.  I pray for something to take place in their lives that will bring them to their knees and they will seek forgiveness from you.  God, I pray for comfort and protection over those who are hurting so badly today.. that you will wrap your arms around them and heal their broken hearts.
