No wonder we are fascinated by fire. Think about it. If what has happened to us when our faith has been made stronger and more focused is we have been "baptized with the Spirit and fire" then desire to be warm and warming is an essential part of us. It explains our delight in fellowship. It stokes the fire. We get warmer, more resilient, better able to handle adversity, and I'm think, more open to love. Nothing like a cozy fire. Nothing like a fire in our hearts. Nothing better to make us more open to the idea of caring about and caring for each other, and for this world we live in.

Baptized with fire that makes us want to change our world for the better, even our own lives for the better. Hmmm....
