Isaish 61:11For as the earth bringeth forth its bud, and as the garden causeth the things that are sown in it to spring forth; so the Lord Jehovah will cause righteousness and praise to spring forth before all the nations. An awesome promise here when you read it over a few times. Remember, we are made from the earth and have multiplied greatly. We also have a sacred place within us, our garden; better put, our heart. We can go there if we choose and tend to matters, keep it cleaned and pruned (Jn 15:3). Or we can focus on other things instead and after some time our inside becomes overrun and unkempt. It soon becomes evident by the outward appearance on our faces and how we speak to others the level of maintainance we keep. Ouch...that was a thorn in my hand checking my heart just now. It's never finished, things inside us always need checking and cleaning. Don't beat yourself up...keep working. Jesus spent a ton of time praying in the garden. Look for yourself in scripture! Can you imagine the smells and fruit that must of had to change when He was present? Did others get to see this, too? Imagine it...what's the most awesome vision you can produce in your mind? (He can do more than we can think or ask...) Look at the last portion of this verse again. Will we allow God to examine our hearts? (Ps 26:1) He'll only clear what we give Him. And should we allow Him in...look at the promise! He'll cause righteousness and praise to spring forth! Where? Before all nations. In other words, everyone will see and hear the difference He is making inside. Do you want to meet Jesus in the garden? Be honest when you walk and talk with Him. He already knows, He just wants to hear it from you. "If my people which are called by My name will humble themselves..." Pick a place inside and ask God to meet you there, He will with love and compassion. Amen!
