| God Bag |

My wife put up this little bag on our fridge one day when she returned home from her bible study. She said it was her "God Bag." I smiled and said good....not really paying much attention to it. Since my stroke, I have paid more attention to her God Bag. I praise God that now I can say, "I get it." The lightbulb has finally turned on....now I understand that we cannot handle this life without God's help. Oh sure, like I did before my stroke, thinking I was being "macho" and saying, "I can handle it" Now I realize that not only has God promised me help, but I believe he delights in my asking him.... 40:29 He giveth power to the faint; and to him that hath no might he increaseth strength. So now, when life throws us a hardball, we just write the challenge down on a piece of paper and put it in the God Bag...and so we give it up to God and then wait upon God to help us in his time and according to his will....we need to be humble enough to submit to God's power..... 40:31 but they that wait for Jehovah shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; they shall walk, and not faint. The way I look at it is...if God promises to help us, then who are we to allow worry to bog us down? |
