Todays verse made me think about this parable and how the Pharisee wanted to be seen by all as a"holy" man But he was insincere in his worship and self-centered.
The tax collector recognised just what he was a sinner and asked for God'smercy and as he asked he received . May we be aware of our need to always worship from the heart and in awe and wonder of our Great Big God. Who loves us with an everlasting love, a love that knows no bounds even unto death on a cross.

6:1 "Beware of practicing your piety before men in order to be seen by them; for then you will have no reward from your Father who is in heaven.
Joyful, I love this story. Many fail to read the part that the Publican felt so unworthy that he would not even lift his eyes upward to God.....The key to greatness in the eyes of God is true humility....Much too many Pharisees in the world and even in the church who thiink that their money and power make them somebody......Still I pray for them....Love in Christ PC
Liz, Very good advice. I'm with you, LET THE BEAUTY OF JESUS BE SEEN IN ME. God Bless You in your endeavors. Love you in the Lord..................... Jim
