As some of you know, I am working with Willie and Paulette Strickland in the jungle,where they live with the natives there in a village called Estrano (means new beginnings), 400 miles by boat from Iquitos, Peru. this trip will involve continued ministry to the river villages, sanitation, clean water, and hydro-electric system.
  There still remains people untouched with the Gospel of Jesus Christ. it is a difficult task for me to reach them. But we all know it is our service to Christ to go into all the world with the good news. Most of the missionaries work near the larger cities mostly in the mountains where they have roads and such. we are trying to get the electric system going to save gas in the portable generators, and provide refrigeration for medicines to start a medical clinic there.
  We are teaching them farming, and live stock herds, They forage the jungle for all the eat. They earn about $400 dollars a year floating logs tied together to sell, fruits and rice that they do raise, they trade in Iquitos a 400 mile float down stream,(about 10 days float. they bring their trade items back to the head of the river on a ferry like ship on the Marinone river to the mouth of the river they live on and paddle for two days up stream in dugout wooden canoes, quite a trip!!!
  We need your prayers for good relations with the chiefs of the villages to allow us to speak and bring medicines into the villages. I will be leaving on 24Th May and won't reach Estraino until the June 1st or 2ND. Being disabled makes the trip a bit hard on me, so I need your Prayers. I will be returning to the states and my family on 24Th August. Please pray for my family while I am away.
