Sobering Mother's Day thoughts in today's mychurch verse

I wish everyone a beautiful Mother's Day. I glanced at the verse today and while just getting started in my day, realized how sobering the verse of the day is.

I taught my sons about God even when I failed to teach them restraint when spending money.

I taught my kids about evil of demons and the good of angels. When my son got an action figure at his sixth birthday that came with a sidekick demon (no kidding) he thanked Tesha, and when she left he took the sidekick demon and threw it away. He wanted to protect her feelings, wanted the action figure but knew the evil of demons even then.He knew this at age 6. It is ok to start teaching early.

From birth they were given the gospel with infant feedings, and Jesus with their holidays, and John 3:16 with more importance than family heritage or even pledge of allegiance to America. It was priority. 

If you are not a mom, there are children out there whose moms don't know the truths that can keep them out of the lake of fire. Joyful Servant doesn't have her own children but reaches out to children in other countries, and the behind the scenes prayers of our dear Lynne who also has not had her own biological children, is a powerful prayer mom in her own right.  Penny and Lynne this is YOUR day today sweet ladies, it is very much YOUR day too.   If you are a mom, make the gospel your priority. Serve it with chocolate cake at dinner ...a truth...a testimony. Let's do it moms. Let's keep these kids out of the lake of fire. I love you. This is our day. 

 

20:15 and if any one's name was not found written in the book of life, he was thrown into the lake of fire.

I am not a mom, however, I have many little (well some big now) chickadees out there, & the Gospel is the most important legacy I can leave them.  Jesus is the name above all names.

Pandabear, didn't know that about you, but I have no doubt you mothered many chickadees out there. God gives these to your charge, I believe. How many jewels will be in heaven because some woman birthed a spiritual son or daughter that did not come from her physical body's womb. I love you!

I have not met a woman here who I wouldn't consider to be a mother. Whether children come from our womb, or the womb of another, it is our beautiful nature instilled in us from our Heavenly Father to love them one and all. Each and every one of you have nurtured in some way, putting God's words into their hearts, lifting them up in prayer, crying and laughing with them. That is what a mother does. My blessings go out to each of you today ladies. I love you all in Christ always.

This was the worse verse to but on today for Mother's Day.  What's up with that?  Mothers are very important and we could have had a very encouraging verse for mothers.

Becky, perhaps so but it made me think about the need to birth those into the kingdom and save them from the hell fire. I thought it odd but it reminded of the purpose and I spoke up about it in church.

Love you guys, it turned out to be a nice day. I mowed after church and gardened a bit, and cleaned space in the garage. We had company and Jim witnessed to him and then he witnessed to his stepmom on the phone. I love my husband's boldness these days. We built a fire in the pit and sat under the stars after he fixed dinner for me. We just came in and I have to shower the woodsmoke off me. A beautiful fire under NC stars but it wasn't hell fire and we still cannot forget what our purpose is here.

And I have a spiritual mom as well as my mom who birthed me & raised me in the LORD.  God knew I'd need both of them. :)  Spiritual moms are so important!
