Oh really? I know many of you were saddenened when I said that I would be leaving mychurch but then we all know that seasons change although God never changes. I found out tonight why my world was being turned upside down. Tonight at the Church of Holiness and Fire in Amsterdam New York I was appointed as president of the Deacon Board and as president of the Gentlemen's Society both of which are huge responsibilities but God knows the capacity that he has given me and I am able to perform these obligations. My wife signed up for the cleaning committee and was voted in. Mind you all this is not the church that God has given me but God called me there to help the pastor and God also told me that my church would come out of here so I will do as God requires of me to the best of my ability until God places me where he wants me.
It doesn't matter where God places you in the body because we are all members of one body. Every job is important and highly esteemed by God whether you clean toilets or preach from the pulpit. God is no respecter of persons and he will give you according to your heart and according to your ability. Do not despise anything that God gives you to do. Do it with joy and with the best of your ability and God will promote you. I know a Pastor that runes a little church that is in the middle of some of the worst drug spots on North Main in Paterson NJ. I lovingly call him Rev and this beautiful black man was the man that cleaned the church faithfully for many years. He did not know how to read or write but he is full of the Holy Ghost and is a man of good report. When it came time to choose a new Pastor for the church God chose him. The Holy Ghost taught him how to read using the bible and he preaches with fire and with power.
Several new deacons were appointed at the church last night and they will answer directly to me as I am submitted to the pastor. Though I am a prophet and also an ordained pastor my calling and gifting is absolutely worthless if I am not under authority. There are too many people breaking away from churches assuming titles and positions that God has not called them to so that they can start their own movements with no leadership or direction and this is coming from a spirit of pride and rebellion. There are others that God is removing from certain congregations because I have noticed that God is separating the sheep from the goats. God is getting ready to do a new thing and we need to be in a position to receive while watching and praying considering others and esteeming them higher than ourselves.
The Gentlemen's Society is comprised of all of the adult men in the church that have been baptized and are active members. As President it is my duty to assign the duties to the men that are going to participate in services as well as assigning the worship leader and the preacher for the night. Societies are primarily formed in Spanish Pentecostal Churches which may include the Gentlemen's Society (Caballeros) Lady's Society (Damas) Youth Society (Jovenes) Children's Society (Ninos). Each society runs their own services and will have a service on an assigned day.
I'm honored to serve God in whatever capacity he will have me to perform and I will execute my duties to the best of my ability as I am able to. I thank my God for considering me but my Bible says that God honors those that honor him. I thank those of you that have been praying for me from the bottom of my heart because I know your love for me is evident through your words of encouragement and in the way you demonstrate your love for me. I thank God for you and if you have already noticed I'm writing new blogs which are just as edgey as they have always been if not more. I missed you as well and my heart ached for many of you because you struggle so much. I'm going to continue to love you but I'm not going to get soft on you. When you start sounding the way that you should sound then you will notice a difference in the way I speak to you. Until then you can expect me to speak as the Lord gives me without holding back.
