I knelt to pray but not for long, I had too much to do.
I had to hurry and get to work For bills would soon be due.
So I knelt and said a hurried prayer,And jumped up off my knees.
ฉันคุกเข่าอธิษฐานได้แค่แป็บเดียวเท่านั้น
มีเรื่องเร่งด่วนมากมายรอให้ฉันไปทำอยู่
มีบิลมากมายที่ฉันต้องรีบหาเงินมาจ่ายให้ทันเวลา
ดังนั้นฉันจึงต้องอธิษฐานอย่างรีบเร่ง และลุกไปทำงานของฉันต่อ
My Christian duty was now done
My soul could rest at ease.
เอาน่า อย่างน้อยฉันก็ทำหน้าที่ของคริสเตียนแล้ว
จิตวิญญานของฉันก็ได้พักสงบแล้วถึงจะแค่แป็บเดียวก็เถอะ
All day long I had no time
To spread a word of cheer.
No time to speak of Christ to friends,
They'd laugh at me I'd fear.
No time, no time, too much to do,
โอ้ยยยย ฉันไม่มีเวลาพูดเรื่องพระเจ้าให้ใครฟังหรอก
พวกนั้นคงจะหัวเราะเยาะฉันแน่ ไม่เอาละฉันกลัว
ฉันไม่มีเวลา ฉันไม่มีเวลา ฉันไม่มีเวลาเลยจริง ๆ
ทุก ๆ วันมีเรื่องที่รอให้ฉันไปทำมากมาย
That was my constant cry,
No time to give to souls in need
เอ๊ะนั้น ความสัตย์ซื่อของฉันกำลังร้องไห้
ช่วยไม่ได้ ก็ฉันไม่มีเวลาเหลือสำหรับจิตวิญญาณแล้วนี่
But at last the time, the time to die.
I went before the Lord, I came,
I stood with downcast eyes.
For in his hands God held a book;
It was the book of life.
God looked into his book and said
"Your name I cannot find.
I once was going to write it down...
But never found the time"
และแล้วเมื่อเวลานั้นมาถึง เวลาที่ฉันยืนต่อหน้าพระเจ้า
พระองค์มองหาชื่อฉันในหนังสือแห่งชีวิตแล้วตรัสว่า
“เราหาชื่อของเจ้าไม่เจอ เราว่าจะเขียนมันลงไปแล้วนะ แต่เราไม่มีเวลาเลย”
