A true miracle of God....

Well, this season as a soccer mom has made me think. My son as really came a long way. I never really looked back at everything Cameron gone through until now. The diagnoses of Autism has not stopped what God wanted and wants to do in his life. You know when we first got the diagnoses I knew immediately that he was going to be ok. Yes its the worst sound to hear when specialists come into the room after evaluating your child and says "He has what you call autism spectrum disorder". Now I knew about autism. I've worked in different schools with children with autism and went through workshops. This to me was the worst yet. I knew that the children I worked with was very hard to deal with. If that wasn't enough to know my brother is autistic and my cousin's boy was too. I was attacked so many times by my brother because he was so severe. All these horrible things ran through my head at the time of Cameron's diagnoses. I mean you should have just told me I was dying of cancer. I knew in my heart he was going to be ok. It suddenly occured to me, I hear what they are saying and I am not denying there is a problem but it has no  right inside of him, WE KNOW JESUS! I started declaring healing right then. After that day it got worse and worse but what I didn't know is that God was setting me and my family up for a miracle. We've had meltdowns after meltdowns, Cameron getting out of our home into the highway and we even had to walk certain ways in walmart because if we didn't Cameron would not be happy. We just wanted to live in peace. Many long nights staying up with him and praying over him, he never communicated to us at all or even looked at us. Crying and throwing up every chance he had, not that he done it on purpose. We were cut off from socialization. I felt trapped. As time went on he went through many stages.  No touching him or talking to him and with a mother its hard not to be able to hug your child. I was so devistated. Doctors told us he wouldn't be able to talk and to use pictures and signs with him. So we started with pictures, he never liked to sign. As time went by more he was in speech and occupational therapys and he began to talk and could handle some touch. Then he began talking in sentences. Finally the day came when I heard the first time when he called me mom at the age of 7. Then he said dad. Now at the age of 9 he can hug and kiss and run up to the door to hug his daddy coming home from work. He can sing and dance and play on the computer and play video games and played soccer for the first time. Most of all he can socialize now and pray wonderful prayers. I sneek in his room just so I can hear him pray in Jesus name, he says that alot. I look at him in awe because God has truly blessed our family with this miracle. Going down some rocky roads has been so exhausting for our family and we still have our battles with him.  We became closer than ever.  When the rocky roads come remember God is setting you up for a miracle. This is an encouragement for everyone out there that is going through some hard times. I am truly truly a blessed mother and its a long and hard journey but when you reach your destiny then you can look up into the heavens and just take a deep breath and say "Thank you Father". Now that's a true miracle of God.........and there's more to come.

Amen Shannon, I just kept thinking if I kept denying the problem with Cameron because I didn't want a diagnosis then I was denying God's plan for his testimony. How selfish of me to take away my son's testimony and not only that but even denying his healing and help. Sometimes the world needs a label but thats ok, that means I have proof when Cameron comes out of this and says "MY GOD HAS HEALED ME"!!!! Its coming soon! Praise God!
