| Love covering |

When we worship with other believers, Sunday mornings or any other time, I always find myself at my huggiest! Not only am I drawn to put my arms around my children or my wife, when they are next to me, but I feel an extra measure of fellowship and love towards others I see worshiping with their emotions, their strength, their heart. At such times, GONE are all our differences, disagreements, distinctions. When worshiping together, we are ONE... I FEEL IT!! 10:12 ...love covers over all wrongs. Love for God covers over everything that falls short of true praise, adoration, and appreciation for the Savior! As long as our eyes remain fixed on God our Savior and Redeemer, we are unified, inseparable, true brethren, one for a purpose!! |

I'm with you, Mike. Worshipping with my brothers and sisters on Sunday morning is a sweet thing. All of us giving praise and glory to the only One who is worthy! All of us choosing to focus on who He is and proclaiming it together in song and in spirit, regardless of the very different places we are "at" in our lives, the varied things that we are going through. There is a lot of personal suffering going on in our congregation, but when we worship Him, we take our eyes of the natural and put it on the Supernatural God, and we remind ourselves just how loving He is and how able He is to take care of His children. Isn't that just like God? He takes something that we give Him - worship - and blesses us by giving it back to us as hope, joy and faith in Him! |

I agree. Actually...I have heard people say that they go to church to worship God and we do...but for me, more accurately would be to say that I go to worship God with Lydia, Terri, Elaine, Larry, Joe, Michelle, .....well you get it. I feel a need to hug them and love on them and they are very loving in return. I can worship God in my car or at home and do just fine and many times find His presense easier to bask in when I am communing with him alone. However.....there is a difference when holding their hands or catching the eye of a sister/brother as we praise or sing or share testimonies or communion...I have teared and seen another and we share a knowing smile as I see their tears and I feel almost "home" . Imagining heaven which has to be beyond imagining. One of the hardest things that I dealt with returning to church after my son's death was having anyone on my left. He always stood on my left and we would turn and smile at each other often or hold hands during worship. |

[star!] | Yes Mike! This is exactly what I feel at each and every service as well. A similiar word from God is my favorite passage.
4:8 above all things being fervent in your love among yourselves; for love covereth a multitude of sins:

What is truly awesome is when you can take that same feeling with you all week.
My Father is LOVE and He wants to extend that love to others as we go through our daily lives. It is hard and tedious but we persevere because we are not doing it for ourselves but for Him.... |

Lovely, wonderful, fabulous comments (thank you!!)..... GROUP HUG!!! lol.. Jerry, that is the PERFECT verse. I couldn't find it, as I wrote this blog hurriedly last night. I ought to edit the blog! Jen, I'm there with you! You said "There is a lot of personal suffering going on in our congregation, but when we worship Him, we take our eyes of the natural and put it on the Supernatural God." AMEN!! I go to church carrying a fair amount of mental anguish myself, but it all vanishes when we go before the Lord together! Mary(Stovall), yes we persevere...in love! I'm sure you are right, God wants us to walk in that love throughout the week leading up to worship (dessert). |

Cathy(Forgiven), it is so sweet to be ONE! Marilyn, it is such a good feeling....see, spiritual does translate into physical! Angela, absolutlely, lol. Juanita, yes I too can worship God alone in my car or about anywhere else, and it could be very powerful. But for me worshiping with the body of Christ takes worship to another level. I'm not referring to the exercise of charismatic gifts etc. either. Just the amplified sense of spiritual fulfillment that I perceive raises the bar. Great comment sister! Thanks Ruth(Bubbles), Maureen, Sherlock, Panda, Denise, Joey... Lookin forward to worshiping the King w/you!!! |

2:22 And in him you too are being built together to become a dwelling in which God lives by his Spirit. This verse also came to mind today! |

"Common denominator" .... excellent, Tonya!! Yep Todd, and not just w/our singing voices, and not just on Sunday. But it seems we perceive God's higher purposes for us when we do so! |
