I was so busy busy busy yesterday (my/Mike's birthday) that I BARELY had time to check MyChurch! But check I did, briefly, about 3-4 times. And what I saw charmed and blessed me like you wouldn’t believe!! Birthday wishes, filled with warmth and love, posted to my profile! I could almost see your grinning faces as I read each comment and message. For the record, I find it so humbling that you would take time out of your day to do that. From the bottom of my heart, THANK YOU!
Late in the day yesterday, the thought occurred to me. Some might read your comments, and see them as some sort of reflection of me. But oh no no no no! I don’t see it that way at all! Instead I see it as a reflection of YOU, of this wonderful community of people who go out of their way to bless others! You really are lovely, you know that??

If you took time out yesterday, I thank you not only for the personal blessing you bestowed on me, but also for showing the world whose disciple you are! Jesus said that by loving one another in ways the world understands, we show ourselves to be his disciples! Some of us get confused, and think that by preaching and setting everyone straight they are demonstrating their discipleship. Based on and the general reactions I see however, I tend to doubt that.
No, by showing kindness, patience, selflessness, affection, gentleness, eager forgiveness, joyful truthfulness, trust, hope, perseverance, etc., we show our love for one another. Thanks again, you sure made my day!!!
