I believe First Baptist Church of Jefferson City is an outstanding church. It is a friendly church with a great church family, good children, youth, college and older adult emphasis, Dr. Gene Wilder, our pastor, preaches the Good News of the "abundant life" (John 10:10) in a way that is helpful in personal daily living. His sermons are full of stories and illustration that relate personally to everyone. He and the church practice sound well-balanced theology (concerned about evangelism, personal growth and Christ/people centered). He even sings a few lines in some of his sermons. Most of all it is a Biblically based preaching/teaching that helps us grow in our faith and encourages us in our dalily living. There are many other great attributes of our church such as our outstanding music program and mission emphais (both local, national and internation in focus).
