| Remember the Mission |

We did an exercise in class the other day to break the ice and attempt to get us to remember each others names. I am terrible learning and remembering names but great at faces. But this reminded me of the great commission that Christ gave us. 28:18 And Jesus came and spake unto them, saying, All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth. 28:19 Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost: 28:20 Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you alway, [even] unto the end of the world. Amen. - Go and teach all nations- are we willing to go any where the Lord sends us? Further, are we willing to teach all nations. Those individuals that do not look like us, think like us or act like us?
- Baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost- baptize them, have them take this sacred oath. Or ask them to give their entire being over to God the father, the son and the Holy spirit. If we have not done that, how can we expect others to do so?
- Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you- there is too much of what Jesus taught to cover it in the scope of this message. We know that he taught love and obedience. Do we demonstrate our love for all nations, people and are we obedient to his calling on our lives?
Remember the mission my brothers and sisters. |
