THE FOWLER'S SNARE
Memorise: "Surely he shall deliver thee from the snare of the fowler, and from the noisome pestilence" (Ps 91:3)
Read: Psalm 91:1-8 . Psalms 91 1 ¶ He that dwelleth in the secret place of the most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty. 2 I will say of the LORD, He is my refuge and my fortress: my God; in him will I trust. 3 Surely he shall deliver thee from the snare of the fowler, and from the noisome pestilence. 4 He shall cover thee with his feathers, and under his wings shalt thou trust: his truth shall be thy shield and buckler. 5 Thou shalt not be afraid for the terror by night; nor for the arrow that flieth by day; 6 Nor for the pestilence that walketh in darkness; nor for the destruction that wasteth at noonday. 7 A thousand shall fall at thy side, and ten thousand at thy right hand; but it shall not come nigh thee. 8 Only with thine eyes shalt thou behold and see the reward of the wicked. The eagle takes the highest flight route hence it is very difficult to catch, unlike other birds. It takes an exceptional hunter to catch an eagle. Anyone who rides on eagles' wings will not be an easy catch for the fowler. Psalm 91:3 says, "Surely he shall deliver thee from the snare of the fowler, and from the noisome pestilence". This year, the Lord will frustrate every evil hunter sent against you in Jesus' Name. Under normal circumstances, a divine eaglet who is born of God, sanctified and baptized in the Holy Spirit should not require deliverance because demons and the devil are under his feet. However, for one reason or the other either due to carelessness or on divine permission as in a trial of faith, an eagle can be caught by the snares of the hunter. The fowler is good at setting traps for anybody to fall into. In those days in the village, we could virtually catch just any animal of our desire. We would set traps in places animals may never suspect danger awaited them. Besides the trap, the skilled fowler prepares a bait ahead of the trap. At such a time, the eaglet requires the Almighty God to intervene or else it will be caught. A trap without a bait may not perform its purpose. A bait is something which looks good, great, very attractive and almost irresistible to the potential hunter's victim. If you want someone to steal but you do not position him where he will access money, he may never steal. A thief will only steal when there is something to steal. As long as there is nothing to steal, there will be no thief. Quite a number of people condemning public servants who stole during their tenor are playing saints today because they never had the opportunity to steal. You would be surprised if given the same opportunity, they would do far worse. If some people are in positions of power, they would abuse that office in a far greater way. Are you a victim of satanic booby traps? The Lord will deliver you today. Check your life. What are you doing wrong? In which area(s) have you been disobedient to God? What is that bait luring you into sin? Separate from it today! Ask the Lord to help you mortify your members. You need to die to your flesh. As long as your flesh is alive and well, it will keep luring you to evil.
