| Here's my Confession |
|
| |
I serve God not man. I'm going to worry about whether or not i'm pleasing him. I get my information from the bible, not only choice verses that sound good. I'm perplexed at how the unity among Christians is almost non-existent. I saw this at a bible study recently. It was very disturbing. I was on the verge of tears seeing the anger in peoples eyes when their ideas got stepped on. The love that christians are supposed to possess was very low, and the willingness to listen to scripture read was appalling. The reason we're not unified is because we are not reading our bibles all the way thru and taking it for what it says, instead try to explain away the parts we don't like. How can people read the same book and get a totally different view. Read the same verses and just ignore them? I don't think people have a genuine fear of God anymore. I've read scriptures point blank to people and heard them say, "Well, it's all a matter of opinion" when the scripture was so clear. God help us. Why don't Christians have the power they used too. Apostles performed miracles , Enoch was so holy God just took him, Elijah, Elisha,...etc. They had God listening to them. God protected his people, he showed his mighty power to their enemies, God was evident in their lives. It has waned off. We are weak. We are cheesecake Christians, we're soft, we melt easily. God is love, he sent his son so we're good to go. This is all people want to hear anymore. Does no one want to be righteous? It really doesn't look like it. Christians getting tattoos (a pagan practice and forbidden in the bible, Leviticus) piercings all over the body (also a pagan practice), living in adultery, fornication, the list goes on. So we're 'salt and light' huh? We're a 'set apart people' huh? If someone saw you pass by or me, would they think, that is a servant of God, Christian? I'm not talking about your cross necklace, 50 Cent (a very vulgar rapper) has one too. Please don't flash your religious tattoo's either. God said,"My people perish for a lack of knowledge." And we are perishing, there are buildings on every corner supposedly serving Christ, yet our communities rank with wickedness our government is sick. Churches practically beg for money so they can build bigger churches. People inside the church look down their noses at you because they "think" you don't give money. We have lost it. I am not despairing at the the things i see, God is still God. There are people who still want to serve God with their lives and live righteously. I'm sure you will say I'm judging you, well, so are you, your judging me judging you. I'm just putting down the things I have seen. I know what the bible says, and many things are not lining up with how we live our lives. I have been honest, I have spoke from the bottom of my heart, the things i see bother me so much, I'm just a person, what about our holy God? How much we must Grieve him. I stand in awe at how long lasting God's mercy is towards us. Get the mud off your light bulbs and SHINE for god. Live for him, hold nothing back. |

So true...the book of Psalm tells us that God's word is to be a LAMP unto our feet and a LIGHT unto our paths...this verse goes on to say that "I will hide God's word in my heart so I won't sin against Him... Sometimes we forget that when we sin, it is against GOD...it is rebellion towards God. Great blog. |

My father-in-law recently preached a sermon about the crosses we wear our necks and what they REALLY MEAN. I wish every man, woman and child could have heard him speak.
I wish every man, woman and child could have the opportunity to read your blog. every word that you've written is absolutely true.
People just don't WANT to hear the truth from the Bible. It hits too close to home. It's not easy, and "oh.... I love my piercing"
God bless you on a wonderful blog. You just encouraged me, and I am going to send you a friend request.

| Nice! Thought I was the only one that got "worked up" about people choosing to be blind. People like to say, "I was blinded by the devil." HA! Most of the time people CHOOSE to be blind, turn a blind eye to what they don't want to face. I have been to some meetings like the one you speak of. One night I came home and talked Jayson's ears off I was sooo mad. I will admit I have alot to learn and I am trying to learn humbly and be willing to learn. Thanks for blogging your thoughts. I'm glad to finally meet some people that are honestly striving to walk the straight and narrow instead of pretending. |

Amen Bud and Laura! Judgment is coming and when the smoke clears and the dust settles the only one's who will be remaining are those who sought the kingdom and his righteousness; all else will be burnt away with the chaff.
So get with the program, put your faith in Christ, there is victory to be had in the awesome power of Jesus. "But God be thanked, that ye were the servants of sin, but ye have obeyed from the heart that form of doctrine which was delivered you. Being then made free from sin, ye became the servants of righteousness." |

| Amen....Dysfunction plue dysfunction equals more Dysfunction. This nation is surely cracking at its core now. Yet we have so many, especially young, who continue to live like theres no tomorrow. Their just caught up in the moment, and living and chasing a lost rainbow that will never be at their reach, because their chasing lust, and not the love of God and their family. Pray for them. Morals and values have long been gone out of many homes. The family unit, what it use to be, is no longer.........But we all know judgement day will come. Are you ready? |

One of the reasons this is the case is because Christian parents send their children to pagan schools to be educated...but what they get is an indoctrination... www.exodusmandate.org Get your kids out of public school! |

Thanks Steve so much, you are always encouraging and I'm humbled that you put this blog in your memo thingy so it could get more reads. [star!] | Amen to it all. Their are 3 opinions, Yours, mine and Gods. Gods wins everytime, I think the church today is to much like the world. I have seen to many people hurt by the church, and comforted by the world. Its not suppose to be this way. We have messed it up. We get our feelings hurt when someone steps on our toes. I know I do, and a lot of times, we need it. God chastises those he loves, but we don't see it that way. This was a great blog!! True True True. |

BudandLaura, no you wouldn't get reprimanded for sharing your heart like this, at least I would hope not! I think every Christian who enjoys a strong relationship w/the Lord, and all the joy and fulfillment that goes along w/it, yearns to see other Christians be in the same place w/God. Unfortunately, spiritual maturity seems to only take root in a minority of our brothers and sisters. Sure took me a long time. I am hesitant to come out like you did, all guns blazing, b/c I recognize how stupid I was for so long, how blind, and slow of heart. It is TRULY by God's wonderful GRACE that I can even sit here and write this! Speaking of grace, a good friend shared w/me yesterday, that the MOMENT we think we deserve ANYTHING God has given us, it ain't grace anymore and instead stinks of our pride. I pray that's never me!!! (btw, good blog!) |

| Apparently, Abortionist's Tiller's pastor didn't think this applied to him. Isn't that clear? Or do you have to read it in the Greek to get the REAL meaning? Pretty clear, huh? |
