Since yahoo 360 is closing, I think I will do most of our posting on this blog. I am letting anyone view the information on my blog.
This will be the most important blog because it will report the many things that are going on with our congregations here in the Philippines.
Yesterday we were at the worshiping congregation at the University of Eastern Philippines Church. We had between forty and fifty people present. I preached on Ephesians chapter 5. In our relationships we are going to be hurt. Unitentionally, we too are going to hurt others. What does it mean to imitate God. We have to look at the teaching of Jesus Christ. He was God in the flesh.
The first words out of Jesus' mouth was "Father forgive them for they know not what they do." Why did Christ cry out "My God, My God, why has thou forsaken me." God could not look on His son while the sins of the world was upon his shoulder. Nor can God look at any of us when we are involved in habitual sin.
Any kind of immorality is wrong. We may like to pick on homosexuals, or those who commit divorce. The truth of the matter is that these sins are not any worst than any other sins. To God sin is sin no matter what form it takes. We need to get back to praying for each other. We need to pray before any decision is made. We also need to get back to asking ourselves What Would Jesus Do? This became a cliche in the eighties but the concept was very good. In every situation we need to ask ourselves what would Jesus do? We need to get back into the word of God. Not just memorizing scripture but meditating on the Word of God.
We closed the service by praying for all of the students from elementary up to our university students, and also for the teachers, professors, and staff of the various schools that were represented. It was an awesome service. Next week Eden and myself will be headed to the Bugko worshiping congregation. This will be the first time they have been able to partake of communion in awhile. In our denomination only an ordained pastor can administer the sacraments. Plese be praying for all of the Bible believing churches all over the world. We also need to keep those who are being persecuted and killed in prayer as well. We love all of you with the love of the Lord!! We will be posting this in our church color which is purple and lavender
