| Are you crazy? You must be out of your mind! |

Judges 13:25; And the Spirit of the LORD began to move him at times in the camp of Dan between Zorah and Eshtaol. Sometimes I see God as a chess player, moving his pieces into strategic positions, moving them and placing them just where he wants them. Sometimes the Spirit will move us just when we think that he had us planted somewhere. We struggle with moving because we want stability and we don't want to have to let go of certain things. OUCH! We become too familiar with our surroundings and we think that we have things pretty much the way we like them. Moving takes us out of our comfort zone. Ephesians 2:10; For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them. God is the one that made us. He has every right to do with us as he pleases. That means that we will not always like what he is doing with us. Some people have a problem with that because they just want to do whatever they want to. Then again there are times when God does things that are mind-boggling that defy our sense of logic and reasoning. Sometimes we wonder if God knows what he is doing because we don't have a clue about what is going on. Psalms 100:3; Know ye that the LORD he is God: it is he that hath made us, and not we ourselves; we are his people, and the sheep of his pasture. We didn't make ourselves, which is why we really don't have a choice when God decides to do something new with us. If we are the sheep of his pasture then he is our shepherd which means that he leads and we follow, not the other way around. This is tough for some people to swallow so get a glass of water and choke it down. Gulp! Hebrews 11:8; By faith Abraham, when he was called to go out into a place which he should after receive for an inheritance, obeyed; and he went out, not knowing whither he went. Genesis 12:1-5; Now the LORD had said unto Abram, Get thee out of thy country, and from thy kindred, and from thy father's house, unto a land that I will shew thee: And I will make of thee a great nation, and I will bless thee, and make thy name great; and thou shalt be a blessing: And I will bless them that bless thee, and curse him that curseth thee: and in thee shall all families of the earth be blessed. So Abram departed, as the LORD had spoken unto him; and Lot went with him: and Abram [was] seventy and five years old when he departed out of Haran. And Abram took Sarai his wife, and Lot his brother's son, and all their substance that they had gathered, and the souls that they had gotten in Haran; and they went forth to go into the land of Canaan; and into the land of Canaan they came. God spoke to Abram, there is no doubt about that. Yet Abram had to convince his wife and the people that were with them to follow them. How do you convince a group of people that God spoke to you and told you to leave where you are to go somewhere when you don't even know where you are going? It takes a lot of faith to believe God but it takes even more faith to convince others to believe him as well. I recently had a similar dilemma. I was just at a church where I was named president of the deacon board and president of the gentlemen's society yet God has moved me yet again. It's not necessary to go into any details but God is not crazy and neither am I. I don't know what this may be leading to but if God is leading me I'm going to have to trust him even more now. All I do know is that the Spirit has already confirmed that this is what he wants and that is all that really matters to me just now. Galatians 5:7-8; Ye did run well; who did hinder you that ye should not obey the truth? This persuasion cometh not of him that calleth you. You were doing fine for a little while there; what happened? Who is keeping you from obeying God? This mindset is not coming from the one that called you. Come on brethren, let's get it right. Is there a place that God is moving you away from? Is there a place that he is moving you to? Is God asking you to leave your comfort zone yet you haven't acted on it? Do you have a good reason not to obey God? Why do you keep asking for confirmation when God has already told you more than once. OUCH!
Don't waste any more time and just do what God is asking of you. You make it seem as if you have so much to lose yet the path that lies ahead of you leads away from temporary pleasures to future glory. When you choose to obey God things might start to straighten out. Until then God can flip things and turn them upside down and shake you up and rattle your cage. You do the math. Obedience is better than sacrifice. Shalom |

When we finally take ourselves out of the equation it is then we will be able to be obedient when He speaks.
" I don't know what this may be leading to but if God is leading me I'm going to have to trust him even more now. All I do know is that the Spirit has already confirmed that this is what he wants and that is all that really matters to me just now. "
I thank you for confirming what He has spoken to me about. Amen, Obedience is better than sacrifice. |

| Amen Yvelisse, sometimes people will try to lay a guilt trip on you because they feel offended when we don't do as they want. We have to obey God even if that means failing man. |

| Ok, the reason I had to get my steel toed boots on was because this is kicking me hard. I too was trying to figure out why God would move myself and my husband out of our church where we had been members for about 10 years. He had just gotten ordained for gosh sakes. When it all came down to it, I fully understood my husbands reason to leave, but not Gods. But I was comfortable. I was at ease. So much has happened since then, and I am beginning to understand more, but not all. My husband says I don't have to, just to trust God. I think at the end, I was looking more at my pastor as a friend, instead of a pastor with authority. This has been 5 months ago and I am in another church but I have not let go of it all. You and my husband told me that I cannot move forward untill I let go of the past. Maybe when I start obeying God, I'll stop getting by behind kicked. Love you PJ |
